There are two types of NVRs: Standalone NVRs and PC-based NVRs. The Standalone NVRs are mostly built on Linux OS (Operating System) based system designed for embedded processors, while the PC-based NVRs are mainly MS Windows OS based system designed for PC platforms with dedicated boards for video surveillance

– Easily maintain, change or upgrade hardware and software components
